I remember quite early on in my yachting career wondering why I hadn’t come across an app specifically for tracking laundry and guest garments. As I moved between different yachts, I kept finding that laundry was either being logged on paper or managed through digital systems that weren’t really designed for it.

Over the past four years, I’ve worked mainly in housekeeping and laundry, and naturally started picking up on the little frustrations and everyday challenges that came with the job. A lot of these were things my colleagues experienced too, and I often found myself thinking about how certain tasks could be made easier or more organised.

Those ideas eventually led me to create Launderella. An app that brings garment tracking, laundry management and useful housekeeping features together in one place, designed with a real understanding of what it’s like to work in the department.
